Kaley Cuoco has exciting news. The 35-year-old actress, best-known for her tenure as Penny on hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, is set to join another one. The actress, last year transitioning away from comedy and into the thriller realm via HBO Max series The Flight Attendant, will be back to making fans fall off their couches from laughter, with the latest seeing her confirm she'll be co-starring with one of the sitcom world's most-respected faces.

"She's a doctor who shows exceeding amounts of patience with Larry. She is playing the girlfriend of Freddy Funkhouser [Vince Vaughn], and as happens to all things Funkhouser, when Larry gets involved, things get more complicated and then they go south," the show's exec producer Jeff Schaffer told EW.

She 'Fit In Perfectly'

Kaley, herself admitting that taking on The Flight Attendant after Big Bang was daunting, is said to be like a fish to water with this role, though.

"She said she hadn't done a lot of improv before she came in, and she must've been lying. She fit in perfectly — it was like she'd been on the show forever," Jeff added.

Cuoco starred on Big Bang for 12 seasons, making headlines for earning $1 million per episode towards later parts of the show.

Didn't Close The Door On Comedy

Speaking after the CBS series ended, the Olly wellness partner admitted she was totally up for exploring a new role, still within the sitcom space.

"It does still feel like yesterday that we wrapped," she told E! in May, adding: "I think everyone is kind of trying out their new paths and seeing what their next project is, and I'm excited to see how everyone flourishes." The ex to Karl Cook also confirmed: "I think in a few years or whenever anyone's open to it, I definitely will be down for that."

Joining Curb's Guest Stars

Curb Your Enthusiasm, much like hit sitcom Friends, has welcomed its fair share of celebrity guest stars. The HBO comedy, which features main co-stars including Cheryl Hines and Jeff Garlin, has featured guest faces including Breaking Bad star Bob Odenkirk, singer Alanis Morissette, and director Martin Scorsese. The show has also brought celebrities playing themselves - from actor Ben Stiller and comedian Richard Lewis, to Friends face David Schwimmer and crooner John Legend.

Kaley has also been busy filming upcoming rom-com Meet Cute with SNL star Pete Davidson.
