Against All Odds
The pictures of the pool day came a few days after Tom hinted at a reconciliation with his ex. Recently, the duo reconciled and enjoyed a sunny pool day in Los Angeles at an apartment building. The 39-year-old actor took to social media to share a selfie of himself and Katie posing in the back.
Per Radar Online, The picture was taken in the water park and showed them giving a broad smile to the camera. The picture of the duo hanging out came up days after Tom told fans not to cross out a reconciliation during an interview with Hollywood Life. When asked if it was possible to get back with Katie, he replied "never say never."
Working Together Amid Divorce
In March, Katie filed for divorce from Tom in Los Angeles Superior Court. The duo has been together for twelve years, including dating and marriage. They got married in 2016 on Vanderpump Rules but made it legal in 2019 after another ceremony in Las Vegas. In April, the 35-year-old actress served Tom divorce papers but he is yet to respond.
The former couple still continued to film the 10th season of the Bravo show together amid the divorce. Inside sources shared that the duo was heard arguing about the Basically Stassie actor talking to another woman and Katie left after the argument. Despite all these, they have continued filming together and have been very open about their problems.
Reason For Their Split
A few days after announcing the divorce, Katie discussed the reason for the divorce on her podcast, You're Gonna Love Me. "There wasn't some kind of crazy fight that resulted in this", she started, "it was my decision which was probably the hardest and most painful decision I've ever had to make.
Per Hollywood Life, Katie explained that the martial concerns became too much and she felt she would "burst" with frustration. She recalled, "For months, it was building up. I felt just disconnected. I felt like I was drifting further and further away". Tom also previously said he was the reason for the divorce and explained the situation was complicated.
Navigating Through The Divorce
The couple explained how they have been navigating through the divorce. Katie explained that she and the entrepreneur were in a good place and although it was emotional, "it's also been in ways peaceful and loving". She stated that they still lived together and are working on becoming friends.
Tom also shared a few months later, "Me and Kate are still very close". He later added they had full transparency and "Me and Kate still have a deep bond, we still love each other". He further noted that he was still close to Katie's brother and has no bitterness or anger towards Kate.
