Gemma Chan is one of the few actors who had the honor of playing not just one but two Marvel characters.
The 38-year-old actress is gracing the big screen once again as a Marvel superhero - a title that not many actors get to experience.
In a recent interview, Chan spoke out about how she really feels being cast twice in a Marvel movie.

Gemma made her Marvel debut in Captain Marvel in 2019. She played Minn-Erva, a blue-skinned Kree who was a secondary antagonist in the film.
Because she has already played a Marvel character, many were surprised to see Chan cast in another Marvel role, as this rarely happens in the MCU. Even Chan herself was pretty surprised that she was hired again.
According to Gemma, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige approached her months after Captain Marvel and insisted that she come back for another future role.
“We’d love to make better use of you. We'd just love for you to come back. We want you to do something else so let’s find that project.” Feige said.
Hint: It's Not An Overall!
In a recent interview, Chan shared that she felt incredibly lucky to be part of the cast of Eternals. In the movie, she plays Sersi - a humankind-loving immortal who has the power to manipulate matter and shape them into whatever she pleases.
"I wasn't expecting to be called in. I did a screen test for Sersi quite late in the game," Chan said.
"I am very lucky in that this is my second time; I feel very fortunate. It was as much of a surprise to me, as to probably everyone else, but I feel very, very lucky to be part of this film, and amongst this incredible, talented cast."
Many fans were delighted to see Chan come back for another role. She is perfect for the role of Sersi and her chemistry with Richard Madden, who plays Ikaris, is also palpable, leading viewers to wonder if there is a romantic relationship budding off-screen.
The two are not dating but they are actually great friends and have known each other for ten years.
When Madden was asked how it was to work with Chan, he said that he was over the moon.
"Because we've known each other so long, we already have this trust and rapport. We know how to push each other's buttons. We know how to make each other laugh."
