Social media is yet again having a field day after President Donald Trump‘s bruised hand in the latest pictures has caught everyone’s attention. The images that have been circulating on the internet are from a recent White House health care affordability event that sparked fresh health concerns. Over the years, Trump has downplayed the bruising on his hands and speculations around his health, but it seems like the latest images were enough to reignite the conversation.

Trump recently addressed the White House event, where he spoke alongside the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Mehmet Oz; Heidi Overton; Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; and billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban. However, it was Trump’s bruised hand that had everyone talking. Independent journalist, Aaron Rupar shared the images on his X, along with the caption, “oh my god — Trump’s hand is looking nastier than ever today.”

The internet swarmed, reacting to the pictures with many believing that they were “rotting.” A user said, “He’s rotting from the inside out. A deeply dark hollow man,” another said, “His hand is almost as rotten as he is.” A third troll sarcastically referenced Trump’s recent meeting with China’s President, Xi Jinping, stating, “Too much Hand Shaking, I guess President Xi has a healthy grip?”

Another added, “He’s putrefying right before our eyes,” while one more said, “It’s almost like a mold. He’s in serious trouble.” In addition, one user pointed out, “In the 2nd shot, you can see his right hand too had make-up on it.” A netizen commented, “That hand on the right is scary too. they’re all zombies.”

Among others, one user also said, “He’s rotten to the core.” A user said, “The hand that touched children is withering away, mild green….. septicaemia.”

Notably, this is not the first time when Trump’s bruised hands have stirred chatter online. Nevertheless, he has often undermined the concerns by stating that it was due to frequent handshaking and self-medicating on aspirin. While speaking with the Wall Street Journal earlier this year in January, he explained that the large dose of aspirin had caused him bruises.

He stated that while his doctors have recommended that he lower the dose, he has declined the switch as he has been taking it for 25 years.

Admitting to being “superstitious”, Trump said, “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

Later in February, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also defended the bruises on the POTUS’s hands, stating that he was “constantly working” and “shaking hands all day every day.” Meanwhile, in another conversation with CNN, Dr Jonathan Reiner suggested that bruising can sometimes happen after one accidentally hits or bumps into something, and aspirin can make them bleed or bruise more easily.

The White House has yet to comment on the speculation around Trump’s health and bruised hand.
