An unidentified man attacked a 49-year-old man on a lower Manhattan subway train. New York police are looking for the deranged man who can be seen holding a large gardening tool in the photos released by the department.
The man struck the 49-year-old with the gardening tool in the hand and the legs while the two were traveling in an uptown train on the A and C lines near the Fulton St. stop between Fulton and Nassau Street. The incident happened around 7.30 p.m. on August 9.
The two men did not know each other and got into an argument in the Manhattan subway. Their argument heated up to the point that the unidentified assailant swung the gardening tool a few times, hitting the victim. He then fled the train.

According to the police, the victim got minor injuries from the attack and refused any medical attention at that time. The department released photos of the attacker, who is seen holding a large gardening tool that had a wooden handle.
Moreover, he is smiling in the photos. The police described him as a man around 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with a dark complexion and brown eyes. He has an athletic build and was dressed in black pants, a black tank top, and a blue baseball cap. He was also wearing a silver necklace.
