Police Bodycam Shows Entitled Impaired Woman Saying ‘I Saw It On TikTok’ During DUI Stop—And Her Dad’s Advice Makes It Worse

Monroe County police received a call about an illegally parked car. When they reached the location, they saw an impaired woman sleeping in the car. She was sleeping in the passenger seat, and the ignition was off.

It started as a normal interaction between the woman and the police officers. However, the woman refused to give her name and any identification documents to the police. They asked her if she was drunk or under any d– influence.

Despite the open bottles in the vehicle, she denied that. The officers politely asked her name to verify her identity, but she kept on refusing. She mentioned that she had seen similar TikTok videos where people got in trouble after giving their name.

The officer assured her that wasn’t the case and joked she had seen similar bodycam videos. The impaired woman did not have the best judgment at that time, as she did not reveal her identity, raising more suspicion.

After 13 minutes of back and forth just to get the identity, the officers warned her that this could get her arrested, and she told them she wanted to call her dad. Her father wasn’t much help either, as he wanted to research the laws about sleeping in the vehicle and needed time to call the sergeant.

The officers repeatedly told her she was not in trouble and could go back to napping while waiting for her boyfriend in the car. Even though she was illegally camping, the officers were not going to charge her for anything. The only thing she needed to do was provide identification.

The constant refusal led to her arrest. She was charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting an officer without violence, and DUI. The charges of resisting arrest and DUI were dropped as she wasn’t driving. For the disorderly intoxication charge, she pleaded no contest, and the court withheld adjudication. So she just had to pay fines and court fees.

The video has over 16k views on YouTube with over 300 comments. One viewer blamed the dad and commented, “Dad sounds like an enabler.” The second one posted, “The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Dad doesn’t seem the least bit concerned that his little princess is clearly under the influence of something.”

One more posted, “Her dad should be arrested for giving such crap advice to someone who should be able to trust him implicitly. “Last two brain cells are drowning in alcohol,” joked another viewer.
