Donald Trump stormed out during his NBC interview on Meet the Press with Kristen Welker. He blamed his meltdown on the weather, as it was raining heavily, and also called out the news channels as ‘crooked.’

He explained, “I just did an interview in the most beautiful barn I’ve ever seen. But it was raining. And it was with NBC fake news. And because it was raining, I got a little bit angry at them. I was not happy with them. But we had a good time.”

However, the real reason for storming out was the show host’s persistence in discussing the alleged election fraud during the 2020 presidential election. Welker interrupted Trump and said, “Just to be very clear, there’s no evidence of what you’re saying.”

He replied, “There’s a lot of evidence. There’s tremendous evidence. There’s nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. And it’s happening again in California. They’re cheating.” She asked, “Do you have evidence?” Trump called the election rigged and said he got 90% bad press.

According to Reuters, Trump has called the 2020 election rigged at least 107 times in the last six months. He continued, “You’re crooked, and Meet the Press is crooked, and so is ABC and CBS and CNN.”

Trump called her out and removed his microphone before walking out of the interview room. Welker tried to stop him and told him that she had traveled all the way from Wisconsin to do the interview. Trump stated, “One-sided crooked networks. Let’s call it quits, because I’ve had enough.”The president told her, “Thank you, darling, have a good time. I’ve sat in the rain with you for an hour.”

Internet users joked about Trump blaming the rain for his meltdown. One X user commented, “Was it raining in the room? Does he think NBC controls the weather? Make this make sense. (You can’t.).”

Another user posted, “If your case is so strong, why does every request for proof end with insults instead of facts?” Another user pointed out, “He needs to calm down a little. Way too much aggression and bitterness.”

Some netizens also called out the host, as one commented, “Spot on. This wasn’t a meltdown; it was Trump calling out the same biased script: No evidence while ignoring the mountain of irregularities, mail-in problems, and slow-count shenanigans. Trump just refused to play along with Welker’s scripted no-evidence gaslighting.” Another one chimed in, “It is absolutely ridiculous that California takes this long to count ballots.”
