Once a MAGA supporter, now a vocal critic, Tom Dillon has delivered one of his sharpest critiques yet of President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.

Comedian and podcast host Tim Dillon slammed Trump and his MAGA movement as the “greatest con in history” during an episode of The Tim Dillon Show in April.

According to Dillon, Trump lured voters in with an “America first” approach and ended up doing everything against it. In the video, he argues that the Trump administration’s priorities no longer align with the promises made to voters during the campaign.

During the April 4 podcast, Dillon said:

“By the way, it’s the greatest con in history. I mean, truly. It’s the greatest, it’s the, and I don’t say great like a good way. It is truly the most successful con in history.”

“It makes Enron look like a guy doing three-card monte on the street. Anything that you can remember and identify as a complete and utter scam. This is the greatest con in history.”

He highlighted how, instead of taking care of things that actually matter to Americans, like medical care, Trump’s entire strategy is focused on the U.S.-Iran war, foreign conflict, and military strength. He added:

“To run as an America First and you’re going to take care of America and then turn around and go, you know, all of these things, day care, Medicare, Medicaid, we’ve nothing to do with that. We’re fighting wars. That’s what we’re here to do.

We’re here to have a defense budget of 1.5 trillion and we’re here to fight wars It is the greatest scam in history. You got to hand it to him…it is the greatest scam.”

While it’s not the first time Dillon has criticized Trump, it is still a notable turn for him as he has been a Trump supporter for a long time.

As Dillon’s comment went viral, many people came forward to debate whether Dillon’s frustration had come in a little too late. One user wrote on X:

Oh, now that idiotic fucks has awaken from his deluded slumber. A little too fucking late moron.

Another added:

Tim has wakened from the matrix. Welcome to the real world Timmy

A third chimed in:

Finally catching on ? Most of us knew this 20 years ago !

While another user sarcastically said:

It’s called reality slapping the stupid out of you.

Dillon’s criticism comes after a three-time Trump voter also called him a con man and compared him to Hitler.

Dillon also previously slammed Trump’s handling of escalating tensions with Iran as a “geopolitical disaster,” according to Huff Post. During an episode of his show in March, Dillon called the situation an “economic catastrophe” and said:

“This is not how you project power. You don’t project power by getting your allies attacked and making a big mess of everything.”

He accused Trump’s administration of gaslighting the public and added:

“Our government’s completely dysfunctional, and everybody knows it.”
