A planned confrontation in a North Carolina parking lot in 2025 turned deadly when a suspect chased down a fleeing man, threatened his life, and delivered lethal knife stabbings. The suspect now faces sentencing after admitting to the murder of his girlfriend’s former partner in a Long Island parking lot.
Instead of trying to stop the attack, the girlfriend allegedly encouraged him on throughout the assault.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Victor Panebianco, 32, of King, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the November 10, 2025, death of 52-year-old Christopher Millwater.
In an official press release, the attorney’s office briefed on the horrific incident that occurred last year. According to court documents and the defendant’s admissions during his guilty plea allocution, on the fateful day, at around 3:42 a.m., Suffolk County Police received a 911 call. The caller reported that an unconscious male was lying on the ground in the parking lot of the Stony Brook Yacht Club.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and discovered Millwater with two knife wounds to the chest. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“The subsequent police investigation, which included witness interviews and review of video and audio surveillance, revealed that Millwater pulled into the Stony Brook Yacht Club and parked his car shortly before the 911 call was placed,” according to the press release.
“The defendant and his co-defendant, Kacy Corso, had just pulled into the same lot, both sitting inside Corso’s vehicle.” Furthermore, cellphone records also show the two arrived from North Carolina about 90 minutes before the killing.
Panebianco exited the passenger side of a vehicle driven by his girlfriend and approached Millwater. Millwater drove around Corso’s car toward the parking lot exit in a desperate attempt to escape.
However, Corso deliberately rammed her vehicle into his and pinned Millwater’s car to prevent him from leaving.
Millwater then fled on foot, but Panebianco pursued him while wielding a knife. After catching up to the victim, Panebianco engaged in a fight, issued death threats, and delivered two fatal stab wounds to Millwater’s chest before kicking him in the head as he lay still on the ground. The two perpetrators then fled the state.
Panebianco was arrested in North Carolina on November 19, 2025, by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office. He has pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree, which is considered a Class B felony.
The attorney’s office also reported that he is due back in court for sentencing on September 22, 2026, and that he can be sentenced for up to 25 years to life in prison.
Corso, on the other hand, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree on July 22. She is expected to be sentenced on September 2, 2026, and can expect to be put behind bars for up to seven years.
“The defendant’s guilty plea does not take away the pain of the loss that Christopher Millwater’s friends and loved ones have endured,” District Attorney Tierney said. “However, his admission of guilt spares them from enduring a painful and difficult trial while holding Victor Panebianco fully accountable for this heinous killing. I want to thank our prosecutors for securing this conviction, as well as the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office and the Suffolk County Police Department for their work on this case.”
