A video of Donald Trump‘s awkward kiss with Melania Trump was posted by his own assistant on Instagram. The president, however, is all praise, calling Margo Martin the “most beautiful photographer in the world.”

“I’m not allowed to say this, it’s the end of my political career, but I’m gonna say it anyway,” Trump said. “She’s the most beautiful photographer in the world, I don’t know if she’s the best, but she’s the most beautiful.”

In the video posted by Martin, Melania can be seen awkwardly presenting her cheek. After the kiss, Trump praised Melania’s speech as he began: “What a great job, I have to follow that? I hate it. I never like following our Great First Lady, because it makes me look not so good.” As always, the internet had opinions on the matter.

One user pointed out how Trump’s kiss with Melania is always awkward, adding, “I have never seen [Melania] kiss [Trump] on the lips. I wonder why? LMAO!!!” This is not the first time that the president and first lady have shared an awkward kiss. In a similar incident, Trump stood by Melania while she delivered her speech and the interaction drew attention online.

As the first lady finished her speech and introduced Trump on the podium, the president awkwardly shook his wife’s hands, as the two yet again shared a kiss on the cheeks. “I don’t think after 20+ years, I have ever shaken my wife’s hand like we just brokered a deal,” one user wrote under the video.

“Of course, I never had to contract with her to stay with me as Trump did.” The comment referenced ongoing online speculation about the couple’s relationship.

Earlier this month, a subtle gesture by the first lady had the internet guessing whether the two are ready to call it quits on their marriage. While meeting Queen Camilla and King Charles, Melania held Donald Trump’s hand for a photo op. However, as the two posed, the awkwardness was visible on their faces. This led Melania to let go of Trump’s hand.

This created an awkward moment in which the two continued posing for pictures as Trump slowly reached for her hand yet again. That said, the four-day royal visit by King Charles featured many weird moments between Melania and the president. In another clip, Trump was seen shaking the hand of an English royal. He then subtly touched the first lady’s bottom before stopping himself.

The internet was riled up by Trump’s gesture, with many calling it “inappropriate,” while others labeled it as “romantic.” Another user wrote: “It’s got nothing to do with romance, it’s to do with etiquette, something Americans, especially Trump, clearly know absolutely nothing about.”
