Meghan Markle has not said yes to the dress, in fact she hasn’t been trying on wedding dresses at all.
Rumors that the Suits actress has been prepping for her wedding to Prince Harry have been swirling around the internet. The Sun went so far as to claim that Markle has been trying on wedding dresses, searching for the perfect bridal gown for the “big day.”
However, Gossip Cop , a site that has become well known for debunking celebrity rumors , has said that the story is fake news.
“Meghan Markle tried on wedding dresses and sparked speculation her engagement to Prince Harry is imminent,” The Sun said of the alleged shopping trip in Toronto, as reported by Gossip Cop .
“She joked she couldn’t walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey in it. But the fact she’s trying on dresses and thinking about their wedding shows how serious they are.”
While Markle and Prince Harry may be in a very serious relationship, the wedding dress shopping did not happen.
“Meghan hasn’t tried any white dresses of any kind. She also hasn’t been shopping at all,” Gossip Cop’s source told them.
Also even if Meghan was marrying Prince Harry, she probably wouldn’t shop for her wedding dress at a regular bridal shop in Toronto.
As Gossip Cop notes, The Sun has since pulled down the article and has included the phrase “legal removal” in the URL.

So, it’s easy to surmise that Markle’s legal team may have reached out and had the article squashed. However a link to the article is still popping up in the Top Stories when you search for “Megan Markle The Sun,” and “Meghan Markle wedding dresses.” When you search for “Meghan Markle wedding dresses,” you’ll also see that the story has been repeated by two other news publications as well.

All of this speculation about Meghan Markle and wedding dresses may have been sparked by the fact that her character on Suits was left at the altar. In the show, Markle’s character wears a stunning lace gown with a plunging V-neck and full A-line tulle skirt. But her joy turns to tears when she’s stood up at the altar by her co-star and love interest, played by actor Patrick C. Adams.
The real news about Meghan Markle is that she seems to be keeping a low profile these days. As Elle Magazine notes, she was a no-show at Wimbledon recently, an event that she’s attended in the past. She opted to return home to Toronto instead. Other royals attended, like the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. On the day that Markle left London, her boyfriend, Prince Harry, was seen attending a rugby camp for kids in Leeds.
