A Florida woman who stabbed her teenage sister about 10 times last year will only serve 180 days in prison despite the attempted murder charge. Lynn My Le stabbed her 15-year-old sister after she went through the phone.

The exact motive of her crime isn’t clear, but she attacked her teen sister with a black knife. According to Law & Crime, the incident occurred on October 26, 2025. She attacked her sister on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. while the victim was sleeping in the living room. When the victim woke up, she saw her elder sister going through her phone.

She asked her why she was checking her phone and grabbed it from her hand. When she took her phone back, Le started to stab her sister. According to the report, Le had a knife in her hand as she charged towards her teenage sister. The victim tried to run toward the front door, but by that time, she was already stabbed four times in the back.

After that, she collapsed on the floor while Le continued to stab her six more times. Le left her sister to bleed on the floor after she pleaded for her life. Surveillance footage from the day of the incident shows the paramedics taking the 15-year-old to the hospital. The 26-year-old was arrested at her home in the 21100 block of Southwest 92nd Avenue in Cutler Bay.

At the time of her arrest, she was not cooperating with the police. Besides, she refused to speak to the detectives. She was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and held in jail without bond.

She was charged with attempted murder at that time. The victim was taken to the hospital as she was in a critical condition. 

Instead of an attempted murder charge, she was convicted of aggravated battery. The judge dismissed the attempted murder charge.  Le was convicted on May 4 and is currently not in custody. After serving her 180-day sentence, she will be on probation for seven years.

Many people have called out the sentence as less harsh compared to the violence, and her sister could have died from the multiple stab wounds.
