A Florida woman has come under the internet’s scrutiny after hurling racial slurs at a man whom she allegedly ran over. A video of an elderly woman is gaining traction on X, in which she can be heard threatening to “call ICE” on the victim after the incident.

Throughout the clip, she is heard repeatedly directing racial slurs at the man, who is of Chinese descent. She also states that she will deport him “back to China.”

A bystander came to the man’s rescue and argued on his behalf. “It doesn’t matter if he’s a citizen or not. That’s really racist for you to say he’s gonna get deported,” the bystander can be heard arguing with the old woman. According to the Nerd Stash, despite the bystander trying to de-escalate the situation, the woman refuses to back down and begins to abuse the old woman. The video also shows another elderly woman who’s accompanying her and trying to get her to sit in the car.

The bystander tries to reason with her and get her to put her “friend” back in the car, but to no avail. “He hardly speaks English, and you guys are ridiculing him,” the bystander says to the two women. Hearing this, the old woman’s friend retorts by saying she has “hardly said a word.” The video ends with the woman dismissing the incident as a “scam,” while the victim can be heard reciting the car’s license plate number to authorities over the phone.

“Of course it was Florida,” a user commented with a GIF showing Bugs Bunny cutting the state off of the U.S. “The ugly American has always existed,” another commented. “They just seem a helluva more prevalent today than in the past. A bunch of uncivilized rednecks. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest that MAGA grandma’s armpits and nether regions.”

Interestingly, one user identified the woman to be Virginia Fergueron Smith, stating that she did end up getting arrested following the incident. However, the user also claimed that the woman owns a “home health agency”, which is yet another concerning matter.

“It is truly very disappointing to hear, time and again, of cases in which you threaten people with ICE in order to evade your responsibilities,” a third user wrote. “This behavior reminds me of the Zionists. Furthermore, it gives me an impression of how people here in Nazi Germany treated the Jews.”

Various users criticized the old woman and Donald Trump‘s presidency, under which ICE has been allowed to thrive. However, there were also users who seemed to criticize the victim. “Is the victim an illegal alien?” one user wrote as another wrote: “Dude is probably a spy; she is protecting America.”
