A viral video recorded inside a New Jersey transit train shows a shocking confrontation between a Black man and a white woman. The clip showcases a white woman sitting across a black man inside the train car, as she falsely accuses him of assaulting her. Leaving everyone alarmed with her accusations, the incident occurred when the man tried to nudge her feet off the seat right next to him. Well, the seating area on this train was meant for four people sitting face-to-face. Since the seat next to the black man was vacant, the woman had spread her feet on it for a quick nap.
Meanwhile, the man working on his laptop asked her to clear the seat next to him. An eyewitness to the entire incident later revealed that, since the woman refused to comply, the man attempted to move them on his own. However, the minute he did it, the white woman erupted in anger and accused the man of assaulting her.
In the viral video, she could be heard screaming with the words, “Oh my god, that’s assault. [expletive language] you! You [expletive language] assaulted me.” With her loud claims, the other passengers were alerted to the situation and were prompted to intervene.
Since the woman’s claims of being assaulted were false, the Black man received a lot of support from the fellow passengers, who were witnesses to all of it. They labelled her as a ‘Karen’ and one of them said, “You were sleeping and you wouldn’t move your feet. Many others joined in unison and refused to believe the woman’s false accusations of being assaulted by the man.
Soon enough, a security personnel was seen approaching the woman to get a rundown of the situation. However, he did not buy any of her complaints, leaving the woman to come up with an excuse, “I have to go home. I’m tired.” This prompted a more furious response from fellow passengers, who commented, “too bad,” and urged her to “get off the train” as soon as possible. The white woman made a last effort to argue with everyone before finally giving up and walking out of the train.

The video was shared on social media by one travel blogger with the handle name ‘Travel With Hulda’. She penned a strong caption that underlines the historic challenges faced by Black natives in the name of assault. Moved by the incident and the white woman’s racist behavior, she wrote, “The entitlement is beyond crazy!!! All those people standing, and she dares to put her foot on another seat! Even if the train was empty, stop putting your feet on the seats. EwwwYuuuuck!!!! Wow, shame on her for trying to say that the man assaulted her. Happy that everyone on the train called her out.”
Later in a comment, Hulda further expressed, “Throughout history, the tears, the accusations, and the dramatic trigger words used by women like you have gotten Black people killed, locked up, and punished for things they didn’t do. When you use a word like ‘assault’ for a situation that was nowhere near that, it’s NOT just dramatic, it’s DANGEROUS.”
