A police bodycam video posted by Inside the Blue TV on YouTube features a screaming, blue-haired University of Central Florida student picking a fight with a campus police officer in February 2025. The individual has been identified as 27-year-old Jarrett Vick.
The altercation began when the student, who identified as transgender, accused the university police officer of misgendering them. The officer had come to inspect a stolen vehicle when he saw the student standing in the hallway. Before the cop could say anything, Vick started to act erratically.
“WHY DO YOU LET THOSE KIDS GET AWAY WITH THIS? THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE,” Vick told the officer.
The campus police officer asked the student to lower her voice and threatened to use handcuffs before calling for assistance. However, as soon as Vick heard the officer use the wrong pronoun and refer to her as “he,” the student completely lost her calm. “She. JUST SAY THE RIGHT PRONOUN,” she screamed.
According to the footage, the officer took out his pepper spray and cornered Vick in an attempt to calm her down. However, the student showed no signs of defeat and continued to provoke the officer by beginning to film him. The officer even threatened to tase her, but she attempted to leave the spot.
“I WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE. YOU HAVE BEEN PARTICULARLY ABUSING ME,” she yelled.
The police officer called for backup and finally took Vick into custody. However, she didn’t go down without a fight. She kept resisting and charging at the cops.
The first officer had to eventually tase her to subdue her when she became increasingly hostile towards the officers.
Vick was ultimately handcuffed and placed into the back of a police cruiser.
The footage has gained more than 9,400 views, with many netizens siding with the police officers. A viewer wrote, “The cop constantly calling him “him” was a top tier “Earth is healing” moment.”
Another expressed worry for the student’s classmate, “This man is unhinged, he needs to be removed from that school before he becomes another national headline.”
“I would be scared to be in a school environment with someone this unstable…we all know what could happen next,” wrote a third one.
A fourth one added, “Take that kid straight to inpatient. He needs serious mental health treatment.”
A fifth viewer said, “These people are being gassed up by social media to believe that someone using normal everyday language to speak to them is somehow ‘violence’ or ‘bigotry.'”
