Courtroom cam footage posted by BARS AND JUSTICE on YouTube captured the moment a killer was confronted with irrefutable evidence of her crime and appeared to realize she had nowhere to run.

When Bianca Ellis first entered the courtroom, she smirked, smiled, and appeared to play dumb, acting as though she had no idea why she was there. According to the footage, showing little empathy, she openly laughed in the victim’s face and maintained her innocent act before the court until the prosecution presented their key evidence.

Surveillance video captured Ellis, then in her early 30s, on June 3, 2024, wandering around through a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted, Ohio, carrying two knives. She followed a mother, identified as Margot Wood, and her 3-year-old son, Julian, out of the store and into the parking lot.

Without warning, Ellis launched a sudden knife attack, fatally stabbing Julian multiple times as he sat in the shopping cart. When Margot tried to pull her son to safety, Ellis stabbed her as well. Both were taken to a nearby hospital. While Margot suffered injuries, her son was pronounced dead.

A police bodycam showed that officers located and arrested Ellis nearby minutes later as she walked calmly toward the road, still holding the blood-stained weapon, offering no resistance or remorse.

Just before the attack, Ellis had stolen two knives from a nearby Volunteers of America thrift store.

Following her arrest, Ellis entered a plea of not guilty, with her attorneys arguing she suffered from severe, unmedicated schizophrenia.

The court initially set a massive $5 million bond in an attempt to ensure Ellis remained behind bars as the legal process moved forward. In September 2024, the court ordered multiple competency evaluations. After spending several months in a state psychiatric facility, doctors determined she was competent to understand the charges and assist in her own defense.

When the trial began in October 2025, prosecutors played the surveillance footage that undercut the defense’s insanity claims.

On October 15, 2025, after hours of deliberation, a jury found Ellis guilty on multiple felony counts, including aggravated murder, murder, attempted murder and child endangerment.

During a highly emotional sentencing, Julian’s parents addressed the court. Jullian’s father, Jared, urged the judge to hand down the maximum sentence.

“I hate you with every fiber of my being. You don’t deserve a check a second chance. You don’t deserve mercy. You didn’t give my son any. You belong in prison where there’s no chance of you getting out. The jury got it right. Judge Russo, I urge you to give her the maximum penalty without parole. So she has no chance of hurting another innocent soul like my sweet baby boy, Julian,” his heartbroken mother said.

The judge sentenced Bianca Ellis to life in prison without the possibility of parole. While he acknowledged her mental struggles, he emphasized that the video evidence proves that the attack was well-calculated.

Viewers in the comments section empathized with the grieving parents.

One viewer said, “Anyone that murders a child should face the death penalty within a week.” Another added, “Poor little boy. He died because of this monster.”

“That was premeditated murder. She should have gotten the death penalty,” said a third one. A separate comment read, “These “people” should be walked from the court room to the execution chamber immediately after the guilty verdict is read!”

“Her Insanity Excuse was pure (expletive). She specifically picked the victims she thought would be most defenseless. Even her arresting officers said she had zero problems understanding/complying with basic commands like lower your head before getting in the car. That 3-year-old died a slow and agonizing death. Hearing your 3-year-old scream in pain and terror like that. Bianca Ellis is pure evil. There is zero reason to keep her alive,” added another.
