The police arrested a racist and anti-immigrant woman, Sarah, after she created a disturbance at a bar. The bodycam video showed her pointing at a black man who had hit her. She said, “That man pushed me.” The officer responded, “What man? There’s not a black man right there.”

The officer asked her, “So did you throw a bottle?” She explained, “A bottle dropped on the ground because it’s heavy and he wouldn’t help me, but other than that, I know better.” He told her they were called after she threw a bottle at someone.
She showed the officer a bruise on her leg from the previous week. He asked, “A black guy hit you and caused that bruise?” Sarah became violent after answering a few more questions. She told the officer they had the information and should leave her alone. When the officer grabbed her, she told him, “Don’t hurt me like that. I’m pregnant. That just hurt my baby.”
After she was put in handcuffs, the officer asked her more questions. She added, “He just hit me, and he’s an immigrant.” She claimed all immigrants should be deported from the country. The officer replied, “Not necessarily. What if he’s here legally?” Over one-third of Americans believe immigrants should be deported from the country. Sarah seemed to have the same opinion.
Sarah’s stories did not make sense as she gave vague accounts of what had happened. There was also some ex-boyfriend drama, but the police could not identify who the man was. She was arrested and charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. The bodycam video sparked different reactions online.
