A 7-year-old Georgia boy was ejected from a truck and landed on a police cruiser on June 3, 2026. The Gwinnett County Police Department released body camera footage of the incident. The horrific video from the dash camera footage showed the child being thrown off the hood of the police vehicle near Atlanta.
There was a collision of three vehicles that resulted in the boy being ejected from the vehicle. The pickup truck was T-boned by another driver. The police officer acted quickly and stopped the car. The boy was standing outside the black truck after the accident and waiting to get in. They rushed to pick up the boy as he was screaming and scared. The officer then carried the child and placed him in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. She said, “Come here. Are you okay? Come here, I’ve got you.”

She assured the Georgia child while he was crying. The boy said, “Thank you,” to the officer once he was calm. Luckily, the boy suffered only a few scratches and minor injuries. The incident could have been worse, and children’s safety while driving isn’t something that should be ignored. The police department also released a statement and advice to the parents. The child was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver ignored the safety measures required to restrain the child in the vehicle.
The department stated, “This video is nothing short of a miracle. Traffic enforcement is not just about writing citations. It’s about preventing tragedies and keeping our community safe. Please take a few extra seconds to make sure everyone in your vehicle is properly restrained before every trip.”
What a breathtaking testament to providence. That little lad, flung from peril yet cradled by grace onto the very hood of safety. Angels were surely on duty today. A miracle that stirs the soul and reminds us how fragile, yet fiercely protected, life truly is.

Glad he was ok, shame on the reckless driver though,” wrote another. A mom gave a suggestion, “Wear your seat belts. Make sure children are buckled up, properly secured in their boosters and/or carseats, people!”
