A 63-year-old New York grandmother of five went missing when she was visiting her friend in Las Vegas. Alisa Goods left her friend Roger John’s apartment and took a bus to the nearest CVS to buy some iron pills. He last saw her on August 8 when she left the apartment around 12.45 p.m.
It has been more than a week since Goods went missing. Her family reported that they had been receiving odd text messages from her phone since August 12. The messages have been asking for money in the form of cash for gas and even Bitcoin. Goods’ niece Alana Calloway noted she does not drive, so asking for money for gas did not make sense. She asked back, “I said, ‘What do you need gas for? The car?’ My aunt does not drive. There is no car.”

Calloway also revealed she has been calling her phone multiple times. Alisa Good’s son received the call from her number, and he recorded the phone call. Some of the messages were, “You didn’t send the money,” and “Are you going to send it or not?”
Calloway suggested a video call, but the person said the camera is broken. The message read, “This phone is small, and the camera doesn’t work. That’s why I want to get my phone fixed, and then I can send you a pic.”
The whole family is worried about Good’s well-being and suspect she has been kidnapped. Her daughter Kristen Goods told CBS News, “I am hoping to God for the best, but my heart can’t take what it could be, which is the worst.” She has planned to go to Vegas herself to look for her mother.

Goods’ son Keven Newton also received weird messages from her phone. He replied, “Just give my mother back. I don’t know what y’all got going on, but this ain’t it.” The friend she was visiting said he has known her for nine years. He added, “It’s just sad because she’s the nicest person you would meet.”
Calloway called Goods a superstar and told a news outlet, “People gravitate towards her. She lights up any room she walks in. They love her. She has such a welcoming and warm personality and is just filled with so much love.”
The family has contacted local hospitals, jail, and the coroner’s office to find information, but that hasn’t helped. The Las Vegas Metro Police have asked anyone with information regarding Goods to come forward. The missing persons report described Goods as 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds with short black and grey hair and brown eyes.
