Nancy Grace has, like many contenders before her, been shedding pounds like crazy on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars .
After Ricki Lake revealed she was postponing wedding dress shopping to maximise her weight loss on the show, Grace told People she’d lost an impressive 16 pounds on the show to date.
Grace, who’s not usually such a shrinking violet, initially came over all coy when asked about her dwindling physique, jokingly pointing out her partner Tristan McManus was the one who had really benefited from the show:
“I’ve noticed Tristan has lost a lot of weight. He really needed to. He was carrying way too many pounds around.”
A little more probing encouraged Grace to reveal her 16 pound loss, something that seems to have cheered her up:
“This has been a great side effect to dancing, so I’m happy. But I just think women should love their bodies like they are.”
Along with the hours of practice she puts in with McManus (who she calls “my lucky charm”), Grace says meals from LA-based diet specialists Freshology have contributed to her “feeling good.”
Not that her husband seems to care a great deal, with Grace admitting, “I don’t think he’s even noticed.”
