MAGA Mama 47 has struck again with her criticism of Muslim swimwear, or burkinis, in public pools.
Last week, a conservative commentator identified as MAGA Mama 47 ranted on social media about how she canceled her pool membership at a Lifetime Fitness in Shelby Township, Michigan, after seeing a Muslim woman wearing modest swimming attire in the private club.
She argued that it was a “sanitary problem” and added:
“It’s disgusting. It’s gross. They have germs. It should never be allowed. Ever.”

“Let me tell you about our ‘Muslim problem’ of wearing swim burkas,” she says.

In a follow-up video, MAGA Mama 47 has now ranted that it’s “scary” and “foreign” for children to see these “women” in burkinis or full-body swim coverings.
In a clip shared on X, she’s seen driving the car with one hand and holding a phone to record with the other. She said:
“And just think of the kids, right? My kids are very young. Think of what they, how they see this. That is so scary for them to see a woman or, I don’t know, they don’t even know if it’s a woman.”
“So all you can see is their eyes. It looks scary. Any kid is going to be scared when they see that. They don’t want to be around that. They’re, it’s totally unnatural and foreign to them. They have no idea what that is.”
She painted a picture of how this is going to be scary for kids and “really not okay.”
“And it’s going in the pool with them. It’s like, do you think that really is okay? It’s not. It’s scary.”
Interestingly, she then went on to claim that these people “don’t mind making people or Americans uncomfortable” and “they like it.”
Doubling down on her argument, she added that if one of them is allowed to get into the pool, they “call all their friends” and say, “they’ll let you in too.” She added:
“And then next thing you know, the pool is full of women in their burkas. So fair warning.”
“I hope you’re ready to get recorded because you know what? You’re not making us uncomfortable without being uncomfortable yourself. You want to be in a public pool and a private pool that we pay for monthly to be members of, get ready to have your face all over the internet.”
The video left many people debating whether what she’s saying holds any weight. However, most of the comment section was filled with how what she’s doing is also “scary” and “unsafe” and condemned her for Islamophobic and racist remarks.
One user said:
“What a safe driver, with one hand holding her phone at arm’s length and her eyes paying little attention to what’s in front of her as she flies down the road.
THAT is gonna be scary for a kid if they happen to be walking down that street when she veers off course.”
Imagine if she lived just a couple of generations ago. ⬇️
This, dear readers, is a bathing suit. While being very mindful and demure, 19th-century women were also likely to be quite sweaty.

Another user added:
“She clearly has never stepped out of the cultural dome she lives in. Ignorance can be detrimental to your health and wellbeing!”
A third joked:
She must’ve been horrifically traumatized when people were wearing masks during the pandemic.
The said video has now been deleted.
Burkini – a contraction of the words burqa and bikini – is made of the same material as classic swimwear or a two-piece. It’s a blend of elastane (Lycra) and polyamide (nylon), designed for an aquatic environment and compliant with swimming pool hygiene standards.
According to Condolegal.com, “burkini cannot be banned solely because of its religious aspect.” Since it’s designed for an aquatic environment, it cannot be banned for health and safety reasons either.
