Donald Trump had first met Melania Trump back in a 1998 New York party. The then Melania Knauss had apparently rejected Trump on their first meeting as he had gone to the party with someone else. However, despite being with another woman, Trump was impressed with Melania right from their first meeting and eventually the two got into a relationship.
Despite their chance encounter and Melania’s initial rejection, Trump won her over quickly and in the 2004 Met Gala, he proposed to Melania. The couple tied the knot in 2025 at Palm Beach. The guest list included big names like Bill Clinton, Regis Philbin, Barbara Walters, Rudy Giuliani to name a few.
Donald and Melania Trump’s only child, Barron Trump, was born the year after their marriage. Since marrying Donald Trump, Melania Trump has maintained a rather low profile while fulfilling her duties as a mother as well as the First Lady.
Recently, there have been rumors about possible cracks in the relationship between Melania and Donald and Melania skipping some significant events of Trump has also added fuel to the fire. The couple, however, has not addressed these speculations publicly. Moreover, they came together to sign the Take it Down Act, a bill which Melania had worked hard to pass.

In the signing event, Trump praised Melania highly and she also appeared to be enjoying her husband’s company, which has become a rare site. Despite how beautifully their relationship had blossomed, like any other couple, they have also gone through hardships and now that sometimes shows even in public.
Previously, when Trump was elected as the American President for the second time, Melania had told Fox & Friends, “I will be in the White House. When I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach.” She had further added, “The first time was challenging. But this time, I have everything. I have the plans. I could move in. I already packed.”

Her words showed that she was ready for her second term as the First Lady, and naturally, she seemed more confident than she was the last time.
Talking about her and Trump’s relationship, Melania told ABC News’ Barbara Walters in 2015, “We have a great chemistry and to be with a man like my husband is you need to know who you are. You need to have a very independent life and supporting him, you need to be very smart and quick, and be there for him when he needs you.”
Her words showed the admiration she had for Trump and the American President has also praised his wife numerous times publicly. While Melania and Trump have maintained a low-key private life, they have not been able to avoid the media attention and even after all these years of marriage, they remain one of the most popular couples not only in America but also globally.
