Florida Police responded to a distress call about a car set on fire. Turns out an angry Florida woman, named Brianna Johnson, 25, set her ex’s car on fire after he decided to break up with her. When the police reached the scene, the back seats of the car were burned, and there was smoke. However, there was no active fire.

The police body footage showed them inquiring about the man who made the call. He told them his ex was upset with him and did not even admit they were dating. They had just been seeing each other for six months. He had made previous complaints about the same Florida woman to get a restraining order. On the other hand, he admitted that he had five kids. The police asked him if Johnson did not know about the kids, and then reacted this way. He told the officers that she knew and gave them her details to arrest her.

The police went to her home and asked her to come out to speak to them. This is when the chaos started, as she was not coming out and making excuses. Johnson said, “I’m not stepping out my door to go back to jail and to lose my baby.” Then she told them she went to see her ex-boyfriend, and his sister shot at her.

Soon, the conversation turned to a physical altercation as the woman tried to resist arrest while denying that she had set the car on fire. The officer read Miranda rights to her, “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law.” A woman officer was called to handle her as she was hard to restrain.

Once she was detained, she started to explain what had happened that night. She told the officers how she had been supporting the man to make things work. But she got angry when they disagreed on things, and he was not ready to leave his kids for her.

The officer asked her, “What happened to this car?” Despite telling the reason behind her anger, she denied seeing the car in the driveway.

The bodycam footage shows the Florida woman saying, “When I pulled up to the house in the front yard, like, right how it is, like here, when you pull up is it’s grass. It’s a driveway. No car. Not one, not two, not three. There’s that. He had a yellow car up front at one point.”

However, the police found foam from her ex’s car in her car, proving she cut open the seats and set it on fire.

The police officer said, “From the interior of a seat. When you cut open a seat, there’s nice yellow foam. There’s a portion of that in your driveway right now.”

The officer said, “Yep. And I’m telling you right now, you’re under arrest for arson.” She responded, “You can’t even smell arson on me.” She was charged with arson and taken into custody.
