Erika Kirk is facing renewed backlash this week after conservative commentator Candace Owens alleged that she and her husband, Charlie Kirk, had a pre-scheduled “secret” will update appointment after his assassination.

During a May 20 livestream, Owens claimed that Charlie and Erika had scheduled an appointment to update his will and life insurance documents days after his killing. The founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) was shot and killed during a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University.

According to IBT Times, Owens told viewers that Charlie and Erika couldn’t make it to sign his “updated end-of-life documents” on Sept. 15, 2025. That was the Monday after he died. Owens said during the livestream:

“Let me say that again. Charlie and her had an appointment and a date to sign updated end-of-life documents on September 15th, the Monday after he died. That is remarkable timing.”

These documents included his life insurance papers, his will, and other documents that could’ve directly affected Erika’s fortune and net worth.

After Owens made the wild claim, Maryland activist Collin Scott Campbell pushed it further on X, and the conspiracy theory just grew from there.

Owens stated that Erika told “multiple people” about this meeting, and since Charlie couldn’t make it, the timing is “beyond suspicious.” Campbell added that in every murder case “the spouse is suspect #1 and money is motive #1.” He also questioned investigators on why they didn’t look further into the appointment.

This comes as the FBI and local law enforcement described the case as straightforward. They found no indication of criminal intent, an internal plot, a wider conspiracy, or any financial motive. Tyler Robinson, 22, was charged with Charlie’s death as he “admitted an ideological hatred of Kirk and acted alone.”

Owens has not been subtle about her conflict with Erika. She has spent months trying to prove that Erika had ulterior motives for Charlie’s death. She even made a documentary-style series titled The Bride of Charlie. It focused on Erika’s finances, background, and influence within the organization.

Even though Owens did not provide documentation supporting the allegation, many X users supported her argument. User @DianeHasel4508 wrote:

It is so sad that it appears that Charlie had no real friends in his circle

A REAL comprehensive investigation is warranted. The police detectives and the AG have done an abysmal job so far

User @numbskulli insisted it could’ve been about Epstein and said:

I think Charlie realized while he was going around saying Epstein was scum, that he got info on how his “wife” was allegedly tied in with the same scum. He had to have felt so betrayed. Not nearly as betrayed as the last few seconds when he realized everyone around him… u know.

Meanwhile, many also argued that if Owens is implying that Charlie wanted to remove Erika from his will, why would he take her with him to the appointment? They said:

If, and I mean if, this is true, so fucking what? They have a son who was 1 at the time. Perfect reason to update a will. Do you ever get tired of being a fucking retard? Poopy fingers.

Why would Charlie take Erika with him if he was cutting her out of his will? How stupid do you think we are? When the priest becomes a witness in her lawsuit against you and confirms he was called over to pray for his safety, you’ll be paying Erika for the rest of your life.
