Back in 2009, German modding group BlackMonkeys teased a Star Wars -themed total conversion mod for Call of Duty 4 called ‘ Galactic Warfare ‘. Just under three years later, the mod has now been let loose to the public, free of charge.
Galactic Warfare is about as close to Battlefront 3 as we’re going to get – like Battlefront , the total conversion mod is a first-person shooter with Star Wars characters, weapons and even killstreaks. This is a Call of Duty 4 conversion, after all.
There are no vehicles to play around with, but there are vehicles you can call on by way of the Star Wars -themed killstreaks. Ever wanted to call in an airstrike from a Y-Wing to rain death on Imperial scum? Well, now you can!
The mod features seven maps: Mos Eisly, Bespin, Bestine, Not A Cave, Jundland, Jundland Dusk, and Anchorhead. Players can shoot it out as a soldier from either the Imperial Forces or, of course, the Rebel Alliance.
