Miami Dolphins receiver Chad Ochocinco and his fiancee of two years Evelyn Lozada tied the knot yesterday during an Independence Day wedding extravaganza in Miami.
Prior to the ceremony, which was documented for the VH1 show “Ev and Ocho” and is scheduled to air in September, Ochocinco took to Twitter to express the nervous excitement he was feeling:
“I’m breathing like a pregnant lady in lamaze class right now… I was hoping continuing to tweet with y’all support would calm me down,” the 34-year-old athlete wrote. “I don’t recall sending the butterflies in my stomach and invite. Why am I shaking like I’m in Alaska[?].”
Thankfully Ochocinco got his composure together and was able to make it through the event just fine, as he hopped on Twitter afterwards to joke about his new bride’s four outfit changes.
“I got my wife now it’s time to get my game back,” he posted before asking his 3.5 million followers, “Is this normal to have more than 1 outfit besides the wedding gown?”
US Weekly writes while Evelyn and Chad are not planning to honeymoon (at least for now, as Ocho has to train for the upcoming 2012-2013 NFL season after signing a one-year deal with the Dolphins earlier this year ), they are more than excited about spending their lives together.
“Before we met, we communicated over the phone for a month. We got to know each other like that before seeing each other,” Lozada, 36, gushed to US. “We have a true friendship. And he can keep up with my mouth! I’m very verbal, and say what I think and feel. He’s the same way. He makes me laugh.”
