Plans to reunite the cast of the sitcom “Full House” for a modern remake have been scraped according to former child star Candace Cameron Bure.
The plan was hatched by John Stamos and was to follow the plan of recently revived shows “Bionic Woman,” “Knight Rider” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
The “semi-remake” would have centered around Cameron Cameron Bure and co-star Jodie Sweetin’s characters — older sisters of Michelle Tanner, a role shared by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Apparently though the show didn’t get any interest without the involvement of the Olsen twins.
In related news, Candace Cameron must be angling at some sort of comeback, with a cover of US Weekly discussing her weightloss (pic below).
According to the report, Candice Cameron lost 22 pounds without the typical Hollywood help: trainers, surgery or a special diet prepared by a chef. Those perks, she says, are “not realistic” for most people, and she credits her own change in eating and exercise for her change.
