The estate of Frank and Doris Hursley, the couple who created the long-running sitcom General Hospital is suing ABC. Children of the couple claim in their suit that ABC has cut them out of major profit sharing money.

In the lawsuit the Hursley daughters claim that their parents struck a deal with ABC back when the show started in 1963 in which they would receive 10% of all profits from the syndication of the show, a deal they say ABC has failed to honor.

According to the Hursley daughters ABC has been “cooking the books” for years and have failed to pay them what they are fully owed.

The lawsuit is careful to avoid specifying numbers, instead the Hursley daughters want a judge to force an open book audit on ABC to determine past damages and to guarantee future payments are made as directed by their parents original deal.
