Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran have been broken up for almost a year, but it appears Chris Brown is taking some time to reflect on his former relationship with the model while promoting the upcoming release of his new album, Royalty.
Just one day after Chris Brown offered his apologies to ex-girlfriends Rihanna and Karrueche Tran for his behavior, Brown sat down with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning on Tuesday to dish on his previous feud with model Tyson Beckford that stemmed from Beckford’s friendship with Karrueche.
When asked if he’s been able to move on from his past romance with Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown nods while admitting, “Oh no, I’m on zero.”
Similarly, Chris Brown opens up about his public feud with Tyson Beckford after the model snapped a photo with Karrueche Tran just months after Tran called off her longtime relationship with Chris Brown.
Karrueche Tran ended her on-again, off-again relationship with Chris in March after learning that Brown had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman. While Chris and Karrueche have gone their separate ways since their split, Brown admits that he was still jealous over seeing Karrueche with other guys in the early months following their breakup.
“That was me being insecure,” Chris Brown admits of his decision to publicly threaten Tyson Beckford on Instagram.
“I was in my feelings because at the top somebody wasn’t giving me the responses that I would like. I took it upon myself to be an a**hole,” Brown confesses.
Chris Brown goes on to explain that his feud with Beckford was “blown out of proportion times ten,” but admits that he felt “insecure” and “mad” because he was seeing Tyson cozy up to Karrueche in a photo while Tran continued to ignore Brown’s phone calls.
“Someone else was taking a picture with my girl and I wasn’t getting a chance to talk to her.”
Despite Chris Brown and Karrueche’s decision to continue speaking on one another in their interviews, Brown admits that there’s little chance he and Karrueche will reconcile in the future.
“Much success, much blessings to her.”
Chris Brown’s comments come just one day after the singer made similar remarks regarding his past with Karrueche in an interview with Hot 97‘s Nessa.
When asked if Karrueche’s comments regarding her inability to find work in Hollywood because of her association with Chris Brown hurts his feelings, Brown offered his apologies to both Karrueche and Rihanna by explaining that he is “in acceptance of any wrongs” that he has done to his exes in the past.
“I am going to be honest with you, if it did hinder anybody’s job, anything that I have done with anybody, I make my mistakes and I am totally in acceptance of any wrongs that I have done,” Chris Brown confesses.
While Brown says he wishes the best to both Karrueche and Rihanna going forward, the singer recently made headlines for allegedly dissing Karrueche Tran in a new song.
Chris Brown took to Instagram last week to tease several clips of his new music from Royalty, with one clip in particular featuring lyrics that appear to be aimed at Tran’s desire to further her career in Hollywood after their split.
In the clip, Brown can be seen mouthing along to lyrics, “I remember when we used to be in love / Now you in Hollywood tryna get your name up / Now all I see is a stranger.”
Karrueche later shared her own video response to Chris Brown’s diss, taking to Instagram to ask fans, “To be petty, or to not be petty … that is the question.”
Chris Brown’s new album, Royalty, will be available for pre-order starting on November 27.
