Derek Jeter impressed fans on his 3,000th hit when he put the ball in the stands and now the fan who caught the home run ball is also impressing New York Yankee fans by giving the ball to Jeter.
Christian Lopez, 23, told WFAN via ESPN that he wasn’t planning to profit from the ball:
“I’ve got plenty of time to make money.”
For his generosity the teams upper brass has handed him four season tickets for the rest of the regular season and then through the playoffs, with Lopez responded to the news by telling the Daily News . “It’s amazing…I just picked it up off the floor.”
