A recent police raid has unveiled a shocking discovery of how two young women were “buried alive.” It is now suspected that the crimes were committed as part of a shamanic ritual. The pair had to be dug out of the graves in a forest in the Leningrad region. According to the police report, their heads were wrapped like mummies.
Both young women were reportedly alive after being buried, and one even struggled to stand up properly when dug out of their own grave. As per The Sun, thirteen more followers of the shamanic worship were gathered around a fire for the ritual. Some even dug their own graves, waiting to be buried afterward.
Following the shocking discovery, two people were taken into custody. Timur, a self-styled shaman, and his female assistant, Yekaterina Koroleva, are now suspected of operating a sinister cult and arranging such bizarre rituals.
When the raid happened, Timur was ordered to dig out the two young women from their graves, which were at least 20 inches deep. His assistant, Koroleva, who organized the ritual, refused to admit that the participants had paid almost £80 to be buried alive. She claimed that the two women’s heads were not completely buried, so they “could breathe.”
“The essence of the ritual is essentially a kind of reset,” Koroleva claimed.
“It’s a psychological trance ceremony where a person undergoes a complete reboot, a full cleansing. If someone has gone through certain life events, or wants to be completely reborn, to fully change their life — they opt for this extreme form of burial.”
According to the police reports, the women were wrapped in rags and then buried alive in their own graves. The ritual was performed as part of a supposed rebirth or symbolic encounter with Hel, who is the Norse goddess of death.
With the investigation ongoing, the authorities are now deciding how to build the case against the detained pair. According to Novye Izvestia news, Timur and Koroleva could face up to seven years in jail.
The revelation about this came mere days after the arrest of Russian r— cult leader Konstantin Rudnev. Rudnev, 57, considered himself an alien named Great Shaman. He was arrested in Argentina by cops at the Bariloche Airport while attempting to flee to Brazil with six women.
When confronted, the violent s– cult leader tried to slit his throat with a razor, as reported by El Pais. Rudnev, who once claimed to be a god from the star Sirius, was busted in a dramatic operation by a joint swoop by Argentine authorities.
He is now facing charges of s—al exploitation, human trafficking, and drug offenses. These fresh charges against him come a decade after he was jailed for 11 years in Siberia after being convicted of abuse crimes involving his female followers.
