A 29-year-old Virginia nurse identified as Sarah was charged with battery and trespass after a heated argument at Florida‘s Rick’s Bar escalated on April 19, 2026. The body-cam footage documented the entire incident from the time the defendant was taken into custody to her repeated urge for help. She went on to talk about her personal struggles with the officer at the time.

According to body-camera footage shared by Police Cam on YouTube, the incident occurred on April 19, 2026, when officers responded to a call at a bar involving a customer who allegedly refused to leave after being asked multiple times and became confrontational with security staff trying to escort her out.

An employee told the officials, “She’s like, ‘No, you’re just like every other guy.” We don’t care. I never touched her at all. We got her to come down here, and she wanted to cry. I’m like, “We don’t care. Leave my bar,” and further accused her of hitting an individual at the stairs. As deputies investigated the matter, an official stayed behind to review the surveillance footage while another took her into custody.

The Virginia woman later had an emotional breakdown while sitting inside the patrol vehicle and screamed for help. She was repeatedly heard saying, “Help me! Please help me!” The deputies told her that she was being taken to jail for battery for allegedly injuring a security officer. However, she denied the claims, stating, “I don’t recall hurting anyone,” and remembered her loved ones while experiencing emotional turmoil.

As the woman appeared heavily intoxicated, an officer asked if she had taken any pills in addition to alcohol, but she denied taking anything else. She went on to complain about experiencing discomfort from the handcuffs and urged the Virginia officers to remove them. While taking the woman to jail, the officers explained that the final decision had already been made because the alleged victim wanted to press charges against her.

She then talked about her personal and professional struggles during the ride and claimed that she was “abused.”

Being a nurse, the 29-year-old shared that she cared for patients who were abandoned by their families as part of her job, while insisting that she loved and hated it equally. At one point, she admitted hitting the security officer as she said, “They did put their hands on me because they heard my friend. They did. I wouldn’t touch anyone unless they hurt my friend.”

She stated that amid her ongoing personal issues, she said she didn’t pay much attention to things unless they involved her immediate friends or family. Nevertheless, she claimed that the security officer touched her in a way that made her feel “uncomfortable.”

However, the officer asserted that he had reviewed the CCTV footage and told her that she had turned around and hit the security officer. Sarah repeatedly returned to the same explanation, telling officers, “My heart is broken.”

While acknowledging her emotional distress, the deputy reminded her that personal hardships did not justify physical violence. “I understand your heart hurts,” he said. “But again, that doesn’t justify you hitting somebody.” Upon reaching the detention facility, Sarah followed officers’ instructions without resistance.
