UFC 99: The Comeback June 13 (2009) saw the Ultimate Fighting Championship hold its first event held in Germany and mainland Europe.
The card included former UFC middleweight champion Rich ‘Ace’ Franklin squaring off against former PRIDE champion Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva at the top of the card. Mirko “CroCop” Filipovi? returned to face Mostapha Al-turk, Filipovi?’s first fight in the UFC since his unanimous-decision loss to Cheick Kongo at UFC 75 in 2007.
