A former employee of Donald Trump went on a tirade against the US president, even saying that Melania Trump “hates” her husband. Anthony Scaramucci, 61, who served as Donald Trump’s communications director for ten days in 2017 before quitting the government, made the assertion.

Anthony claimed that Trump was “like a virus” and “wants to be a pandemic on your brain,” according to the Daily Mail. He added: “He wants us talking about him. My (second) wife (Deidre) hates Trump, almost as much as Melania (Trump) hates him. She told me, ‘Don’t go work for him. He’s gonna burn you. He’s gonna hurt you’.

Anthony has already discussed Melania’s purported animosity toward her husband. Author Michael Wolff acknowledged using the subject as one of his “laugh lines” at events in an interview with him on his personal YouTube channel.

He said: “One of my laugh lines when I’m out publicly speaking. One thing about laughter is that we say something true, people laugh. I always say that my wife hates Donald Trump almost as much as Melania hates him…I get a good laugh out of that.”

Since leaving his position under Trump, Anthony has made no secret of his distaste for the president. He earlier said that the leaks and scandals from the 47th president’s entourage had him “terrified” for national security.

The Take It Down Act, which makes it illegal to share “intimate images” that are either real or artificially created, was signed into law by Melania and Trump simultaneously.

Trump’s the “wicked witch of the West Wing,” says Anthony Scaramucci, predicting an eventual mass defection of the President’s allies. “Once the water gets thrown on this guy and the perceived power that he has…melts, those people will be like, ‘I don’t know what I was doing.'” pic.twitter.com/Vi0B43yEx1

Melania called the law a “national victory that will help parents and families protect children from online exploitation” in a statement. She added: “This legislation is a powerful step forward in our efforts to ensure that every American, especially young people, can feel better protected from their image or identity being abused.”

Despite having bipartisan backing, several advocacy groups have criticized the law, arguing that it could result in needless censorship, according to the BBC. “While protecting victims of these heinous privacy invasions is a legitimate goal, good intentions alone do not make good policy,” the broadcaster was informed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital rights advocacy group.

“As currently drafted, the Act mandates a notice-and-takedown system that threatens free expression, user privacy, and due process, without addressing the problem it claims to solve.” Meanwhile, suspicions are mounting in Slovenia over the identity of the person responsible for the theft of a life-size bronze statue of Melania. The statue, which was unveiled in 2020, is often located close to Sevnica, the first lady’s hometown.

Franja Kranjc, a local, told the Telegraph that they wouldn’t mind if the statue was never seen again, despite its significance. They said: “I think no-one was really proud of this statue, not even the first lady of the USA. So I think it’s OK that it’s removed.”
