Donald Trump attended the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden and became the first sitting president to witness the series. He was sitting in a private suite with New York Knicks owner James Dolan. His granddaughter, Kai Trump, and other Trump administration members were also accompanying him.

When the 79-year-old was shown on the jumbotron during the ceremony, there were jeers from the crowd and loud reactions. Trump was met with boos, something that has occurred in the past as well.

Apart from this, what caught everyone’s attention was the conversation between Trump and Dolan. An expert lip reader weighed in and dissected what the two were talking about. Lip-reading specialist Nicola Hickling saw the footage from the game and decoded the conversation.

As reported by The Daily Mail, the two were talking about a person who had not been on good terms with Dolan. Trump tried to be a mediator and then delivered an ultimatum. Trump allegedly said, “Why wouldn’t you accept our friendship? He’s loyal.”

Dolan replied, “I’m p–d off at his name.” Trump responded, “Oh, that’s not it. Let me bring him next time; you have got it so wrong with him. I can bring him back to you with confidence. I’m not just saying that, unless you want to put the feeler out.”

Furthermore, the 79-year-old president delivered an ultimatum, “If you want me to come to the game on Wednesday, then he’s gotta be here.” In addition, he also requested to do the trophy. He said, “You gotta remember, I gotta pull with this. Maybe I could do the trophy, the trophy. This should be gold, don’t say no today. I’ll bet you a round of golf.”

The 79-year-old has been a longtime supporter of the team, as NBA commissioner Adam Silver called him a ‘genuine Knicks fan.’ Silver also appreciated Dolan extending an invitation to the President to attend the game. The Knicks lost the game, with the Spurs beating them 115-111. Cheering for the Knicks, Kai also posted on social media, “The atmosphere was amazing. Let’s get that win on Wednesday. Go Knicks.”

At one point, the US president was also captured with his eyes closed during the game. He is often captured dozing off at public events, leading to health decline rumors.

The 47th US president did not acknowledge getting booed at the game but instead claimed he heard cheers. He told the reporters the crowd was loud and “very enthusiastic.“ If there were any boos, then the president was unfazed by them.
