Donald Trump’s attempt at being comedic has struck out again. The President’s recent inappropriate joke is raising eyebrows. The moment comes a few weeks after he cracked an inappropriate joke about his wife, Melania. Here’s what Trump said that led to netizens chalking up his behavior as tasteless.
At the beginning of the month, Trump’s joke about his wife left people in disbelief. The moment came after he played gold with professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau. In a video posted to X, the 79-year-old admitted he isn’t as good as Bryson, which Melania apparently agrees with.
“My wife says, ‘Are you as long as Bryson?’ I said, ‘Yeah, so, it’s pretty close.’ It’s not close,” Trump was heard saying. Trump’s joke left people confused, with many asking if the President was “still talking about golf.” In the end, netizens couldn’t help but label his joke as inappropriate and distasteful.
The President, who should tread even more carefully when it comes to his words, has decided to be even more loose-lipped. The second failed attempt at a joke involved the new flag poles being installed at the White House.
The President has made the decision to install two new 100-foot-tall flag poles at the White House. Instead of being revered for the unveiling, Trump received nothing but criticism thanks to what he said.

He went to note how there was another word for the process that he was not going to use. ” … It starts with an E. You know what the word is? If I ever used it, I’d be run out of town by you people. Alright, so enjoy it … ” Trump added.
The joke predictably wasn’t received well by netizens, hordes of people rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) to criticise the President while labelling him as “childish.”
“Erecting. Trump is such a child!” one person wrote. “God, he always sounds so dignified and presidential,” another added with evident sarcasm. “How utterly appalling. I heard a more mature question from a two-year-old once,” a third noted.
A fourth quipped about how “good” it was to see that the President of the United States of America was focusing on “important stuff.” Another netizen added, “Wow, what a president.”

“People with dementia do seem to gain some childish behaviors as their disease progresses,” another speculated. Speculation about the President’s mental decline isn’t new. Journalist David Shuster recently claimed that the rumors about Trump showing signs of the disease were true.
“Trump’s White House staff, who wished to remain anonymous, say the president’s irritability, confusion, and memory loss are all getting worse,” he shared. He claimed that the President had been experiencing “increased irritability and outbursts,” according to his staff.
