A Tennessee teacher’s loud and frightening meltdown was caught on tape and posted to YouTube.
In the grainy and difficult to hear footage, you can listen to the teacher ranting about “power” before he begins turning over tables as frightened students flee the classroom. Police responded to the scene, and the teacher was reportedly subdued, handcuffed and removed on a stretcher. One of the students in Donald Woods’ classroom, an 11th grader, caught the incident below on tape and shared the footage.
Woods, a teacher for 17 years, has been placed on administrative leave following the strange outburst. It is unclear what may have prompted his ranting, but he mentions a “fire” several times during the incident.
