Last year the 21 year old daughter of a state district judge gets convicted of intoxicated manslaughter of her boyfriend. It seems that at the time of the accident that killed her boyfriend she had blood alcohol concentration of more than three times the legal limit. The end result of the court case against her was four months in jail and eight years of probation.
Not satisfied with making a mockery of the justice system Elizabeth Shelton has decided to sue the driver of the truck that she hit while driving drunk and killing her boyfriend.Along with the family of her dead boyfriend they are going after Lance Bennett for negligence, destruction of the SUV Shelton was driving and unspecified damages for pain and suffering.
WTF? Is our society really that screwed up that someone would even think of proceeding with such a lawsuit?
