62 years old Glen Rogers was executed on May 15, 2025 evening for the murder of Tina Marie Cribbs that he had committed in 1995 and was convicted of the same in 1997. Cribbs was a mother of two when she met Rogers at a Hillsborough bar. After murdering Cribbs, Rogers had taken her car and fled.
Rogers’ death warrant was signed last month by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. He died by lethal injection at the Florida State Prison near Starke and was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. EDT as mentioned in a statement by the Florida Department of Corrections.
Roger addressed his victims’ families in his final statement before being executed, as he said, “I know there’s a lot of questions that you need answers to. I promise you in the near future the questions will be answered and I hope in some way will bring you closure.”
He also praised the American President Donald Trump, saying, “Keep making America great. I’m ready to go.” The Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty expressed their remorse at his execution, as they said, “Tonight, Florida executed a man they once should have saved. His execution did nothing to prevent future victims or future offenders. It is simply one final act of violence to an already devastating story.”
They further added, “Glen’s state-sanctioned murder was the ultimate hypocrisy: Florida’s ‘commitment’ to victims of s—x trafficking is nothing more than a sound bite to score political points.”

It should be noted here that while Rogers was convicted and executed for the murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, another one of his victims was Andy Lou Jiles Sutton. She was a mother of four and Rogers was never prosecuted in Louisiana for her murder. Sutton’s murder did not receive the media exposure that it deserved and as Rogers was finally executed in Florida, her family visited the same to find some closure.
One of Sutton’s son’s wives, Amy Roberson, spoke to KTBS 3 on behalf of her husband. She said, “Her story is very short compared to the other victims. Andy Jiles Sutton wasn’t just a woman that had s—x with Glen Rogers then he murdered her. She was a mother of four kids.”

She further added, while talking about her husband and his reaction to his mother’s murder “He always tells me about when he was in school and he got off the bus, she would be at the stop with four sandwiches for them already made and ready for them to eat as soon as they got off the bus. Nobody talks about Andy and her kids she left behind or the 11 grandkids and two great-grandkids she would have had.”
She also said, “My husband says he’s got this void in him and he’s hoping watching Glen Rogers take his last breath will fill this void. He thinks it really should have happened a lot sooner.” Roger’s execution marked the 16th death row inmate to have their sentenced carried out out this year in the U.S.
