Disgraced Prince Andrew Windsor Mountbatten was spotted on Thursday near his Sandringham home. More than his appearance, it was a huge bruise on his face that caught everyone’s attention. While sources close to the disgraced royal assured that there was nothing serious, health experts cited multiple reasons that could be responsible for the mark.

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Windsor Mountbatten was spotted while leaving Marsh Farm on the King’s estate in Norfolk. A large purple bruise covering his right eye and cheek had everyone talking. While the reason behind his mark remains unclear as yet, a source close to the disgraced royal told the publication that it was not a “cause of concern.” Citing medical privacy rules, the insider refrained from sharing further details and assured that there had been “no drama.”

Meanwhile, health experts suggested that such bruises can often occur due to blood thinners, when even a minor knock can appear far worse than it actually is. The doctors stated that it could also be the result of facial surgery or if the patient has been “punched in the face.” However, they stressed that it was impossible to ascertain which of these could be the reason in Andrew’s case.

As soon as Andrew’s latest picture went viral on the internet, several netizens shared their thoughts, with one user stating, “He is getting old. May have had a fall. Hope he is alright anyway.” Another user joked, “Bet it was King Charles!” A third user commented, “One of the little girls must have gotten strong enough to swing a cricket bat.”

Another chimed in, “It’s not a bruise, he’s already decomposing,” another said, “I don’t know what he did but whatever it was, he deserved that shining.”

A user connected the bruise with his Epstein connection, stating, “Finally, some karma for Prince Andrew. That bruise looks like one of the underage girls finally fought back. The royal family spent years protecting a known predator — now the public is done pretending. Epstein didn’t kill himself, and neither should the cover-up.”

Mountbatten Windsor has been under police investigation after he was taken into custody in February earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Ever since, he has rarely been seen in public due to a security threat at Sandringham last month.

The Daily Mail report notes that last month, a balaclava-clad man approached the former royal while he was walking the late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis. The furious suspect allegedly ran towards him and yelled at him from 50 yards. The 66-year-old, accompanied by his bodyguard, immediately drove off at speed, but the incident reportedly left him “shaken.”

On the other hand, Andrew has been under constant scrutiny for his alleged ties with Jeffrey Epstein. It was just a few days back that it was reported that evidence, including 30,000 emails containing information about Andrew’s controversial financial dealings, was handed over to the palace in 2020, yet the disgraced royal was protected over the years.
