Everybody has aspirations for their career. Some want to be doctors, some lawyers, and others just want to do something to make a name for themselves. Former First Lady Michelle Obama has also revealed that she had career aspirations, and they were far from politics.

During a recent appearance on the Lemme Say This podcast, Michelle revealed, yet again, that she’s one of the biggest reality TV fans. According to News Nation, when co-hosts Hunter Harris and Peyton Dix asked her about which reality show she would choose to take part in if she had to, her reply was as playful as it gets.

She told Hunter and Peyton:

“Oh my gosh. This is really hard. In my opinion, I could not be a Real Housewife.”

Instead, she said she would be on Peacock’s Emmy-winning competition series The Traitors. She continued:

“I would want to be on ‘Traitors,’ and I would want to be a Faithful. And I would want to find the traitor.”

While she did justice to her answer, the conversation did not end there.

Regarding her The Real Housewives remark, Hunter and Peyton suggested she could be part of the show in a “friend” role. The “friend” part on the show is a recurring role that allows cast members to appear throughout the season without the responsibility of a full-time housewife.

Peyton told her:

“You come in, make a little mess, and then come right out.”

However, Michelle had other plans and suggested that if she ever had to be on the show, she would want Andy Cohen’s position. She said:

“If I’m going to be there, I’d want to be there for the reunions only.”

Watch What Happens Live’s Andy Cohen has been the host of Bravo’s long-running franchise for nearly two decades and is also an executive producer. He has been a moderator during the cast’s final sit-down discussions at the end of each season across the Real Housewives universe.

Hunter chimed in, saying that Andy would be “out of a job” if Michele joined the reunion shows, to which she replied:

“I just would have questions. It’s like, why are we always here? Why can’t we work this stuff out? Come on now, we’re grown.”

Interestingly, Andy Cohen didn’t feel threatened by Michelle’s comment and instead gave her an open invitation to be on the show whenever she likes. He initially joked:

“And I thought I’d seen/heard it all!”

And then added:

“Let me make it clear that Mrs Obama, my ‘Forever FLOTUS’, has an open invitation to ANY reunion she would like to attend!”

This comes after Michelle has long been vocal about her fascination with reality television and its social dynamics. She previously stood by her love of reality TV and admitted that her family often teases her about how much she watches it. She said:

“The truth is that they razz me about my love of reality TV and the Real Housewives. I watch it all — all of it.”

According to InTouch, Michelle shared that she watches reality TV as a “sociological study” that mirrors professional sports. She said:

“There’s drama in sports. If I listen to ESPN for an hour, it’s like watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta. You know? It’s the same drama, and they’re yelling at each other, and they don’t get along.”
