The bond between King Charles and Andrew Windsor-Mountbatten is far from being repaired. Ever since the former prince was linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, their relationship started hitting a rough patch. Now, once again, the family tensions are in the headlines following the monarch’s latest move involving a disgraced royal. The 77-year-old is reportedly in no mood to meet Andrew despite staying miles apart.

According to The Times, King Charles came to Wood Farm in the royal family’s private Sandringham estate on Sunday, May 24, to spend the May 25 bank holiday. Andrew Windsor is currently staying at the same estate after being ousted from Royal Lodge in Windsor. The report states that both brothers had no plans of meeting during the monarch’s latest visit.

The disgraced royal was temporarily living at Wood Farm while he was taken into custody over his alleged links to Jeffrey Epstein, but is now living at Marsh Farm.

The latest snub has yet again raised eyebrows of the royal observers amid ongoing tensions between the royal family. A couple of days back, The Sun reported that Andrew’s daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, will be attending Peter Philip’s wedding. While the intimate royal function scheduled for June 6 at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, will witness King Charles and Camilla in attendance, shamed Andrew will not be attending it.

It was in October 2025 that Andrew’s royal titles were stripped off, and he was forcibly moved out of his longtime home, Royal Lodge. An official statement shared by Buckingham Palace with Page Six said, “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”

The statement also stated that he had officially been asked to relocate to another private residence. It further stated that the measures were necessary even though Andrew continued to deny the accusations against him. Earlier this year, in February, Andrew was arrested and was released hours later.

At the time, King Charles had released an official statement rendering full support to the authorities. He acknowledged Andrew’s arrest on “suspicion of misconduct in public office.” He then assured that the matter will now follow a “full, fair and proper process” in the investigation by the appropriate authorities. The monarch also extended his full support, insisting that “the law must take its course.”

On May 22, Thames Valley Police released a press release announcing that they would also look into claims of sexual misconduct. “In addition to the investigation into misconduct in public office, the assessment of reports that a woman was taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes is ongoing,” a part of the release read.

The police also stated that they had been coordinating with the United States Department of Justice to get further information that may be linked to the investigation. It also confirmed requesting early guidance from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in the U.K., as is typically done in serious, complicated, or sensitive investigations.
