Baseball legend Pete Rose amassed quite a bit of IRS owed back taxes, handing $973,693.28 over to the Federal government this week.
The bad news may not be over for Rose as the money owed was only from 1997-2002 filings, leaving 8 more years of taxes to collect on.
You may recall that back in 1990 Rose pled guilty when it was discovered that he had filed false income tax returns. After pleading Rose spent several months in a medium security prison camp in Marion, IL and paid a $50,000 fine.
I’m choosing to look on the bright side of this one, at least he wasn’t caught gambling on baseball games…oh wait.
