Ohio Students Shocked To Find Secret Roommate Living In Their Home

A group of Ohio students were shocked to discover that a “random guy” had been living in their basement without their knowledge.

The group became concerned when they heard strange noises emanating from their basement.

Mark Hartman, one of the house’s inhabitants, remarked, “We had been telling everyone the story of the ghost in our house coming and opening all our cupboards and the oven and the microwave and all this stuff.”

When they looked to explore the sounds, they found a locked door. They then called a maintenance worker who knocked down the door, where they discovered an entire bedroom, which even had framed photographs, textbooks and various other homely products inside.

After they made the shocking discovery, the inhabitants of the house decided to change the locks, but not before leaving a note for their secret roommate, which told him to call them.

A man named Jeremy then rang Mr Hartman, and he organised to come round and pick up his belongings. Brett Mugglin, another inhabitant of the house, stated, “He was really a nice guy, I feel bad for him, but it’s just, you know, he wasn’t supposed to be living there.”

Jeremy is also a student at Ohio, who had access to a bathroom in the basement, where there was also a sink that he presumably used to wash his clothes in. Jeremy even absconded from stealing any of his housemates’ food.

The house is leased by ten students, who live on the second and third floor, as well as five others who lease the first floor.

Mugglin admitted that he met Jeremy over the summer, but when he asked him if he lived on the first floor he simply skipped the question. He was able to stay in the house as the leasing company failed to change the locks.

Mugglin added, “It’s funny now, but it really could have been like potentially extremely dangerous, like, given that some random guy had a key to our house and was living in our house without anyone knowing.”
