Nicki Minaj is making headlines for her MAGA alliance once again. The rapper recently revealed that she was awarded a “Gold Card” by U.S. President Donald Trump following her appearance at the Trump Accounts Summit on January 28 in the capital city.

The “Queen of Rap” shared a photo of the card on X with a brief caption: “Welp.” The post quickly went viral, gaining millions of views and earning a series of reactions via social media platforms.

One wrote, “Ooooof… yikes.” Another asked, “Girl, WUT.” One user said, “That was her payment lol,” while another mocked, “Welp” Exactly – welp – a legacy in the garbage can.”

“How do his boots taste Nicki?” one user asked. “She gets more disgusting by the day,” another chimed in.  As speculation grew over what the Gold Card provided, Minaj issued a follow-up post clarifying that she received it “free of charge.”

She dismissed rumors surrounding residency and citizenship, writing sarcastically that she was “finalising that citizenship paperwork” and thanking critics for motivating the rewarding move.

According to Tyla, the official Trump Card website states that the Gold Card is a visa program granted to people considered capable of providing a “substantial benefit” to the United States.

Applicants are generally required to pay a non-refundable $15,000 processing fee to the Department of Homeland Security, after which their case is expedited pending extra documentation, background checks, and vetting by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Minaj’s growing connection with the Trump administration and the GOP has already drawn attention in recent months and the Gold Card added another layer to that alliance.

When her career began to take off in 2010, the rapper referenced the President during MTV’s My Time Now docuseries while discussing double standards experienced by women in leadership.

The Anaconda rapper then mentioned Donald Trump as an example of how men are celebrated for traits women are punished for. According to sources, during Trump’s first term, Minaj spoke out against the administration’s family separation policy at the U.S.–Mexico border.

She further shared her personal experience of coming to America as an illegal immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago when she was five years old. But fast forward to 2026, Nicki Minaj is officially a MAGA supporter as she can hardly stop praising her new affection for Trump.

The Grammy-nominated artist attended the Trump Accounts Summit alongside the POTUS and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and promoted that the program would offer $1,000 starter investment accounts for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028.

Under the initiative, parents may add up to $5,000 annually. According to CNBC, Minaj will also give between $150,000 and $300,000 to fund Trump accounts of her fans’, aka Barbz’s,” children.

“If I had access to something like this, my whole life would have been different,” she said at the summit. In a post shared on X on January 24 ahead of the summit, Minaj described the initiative as “the true meaning of paying it forward.”

Furthermore, at the summit, the Starships rapper had all the good things to say about Trump despite the ongoing protests against his administration following the fatal shootings of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents in Minneapolis.

“I will say that I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan,” she added on stage as thousands watched. Dressed in a twisted soft jersey dress with a sleek, long black hairstyle, she added, “And that’s not going to change.”

Regarding the hate, she said, “The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more, and it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more,”

It looks like Nicki Minaj’s charm did work, as in an interview with CNBC on Wednesday, Secretary Bessent said approximately 600,000 families have already enrolled in the program since the start of the 2026 tax season earlier this week.
