Are you in desperate need of some Botox but just don’t have the money to spend? Dr. Paul Wigoda could be your answer. The Fort Lauderdale Plastic Surgeon is offering up gift cards for non-surgical services, like cosmetic Botox, to his Facebook fans during the Dr. Wigoda Beauty Sweepstakes.
Wigoda said that he launched the beauty sweepstakes in order to reach a wider audience through social media. Which isn’t a bad place for a plastic surgeon to look. Several studies over the last few years have shown that avid Facebook users are vain, self-centered, and narcissistic, which makes it the perfect mining ground for a plastic surgeon.
Shawn Bergman, an assistant professor of organizational psychology, said:
“We do know that narcissism levels among millennials are higher than previous generations and that this rise in narcissism has coincided with the explosion of Facebook.”
Bergman also notes that Facebook probably isn’t responsible for producing narcissistic individuals, but it does seem to be where they hang out. So what better place to find potential Botox customers?
A press release from the Facebook Botox sweepstakes, reads:
“Breast implants like Courtney Cox, Botox like Kim Kardashian’s mom, a Tummy Tuck like a celebrity model or some lingerie from Victoria Secret just because it makes you feel good; Enter to win Dr. Wigoda’s Beauty Sweepstakes on Facebook”
The contest will award one first place winner with a $250 gift card for a non-surgical service from Dr. Wigoda or a $250 gift card to Victoria’s Secret. The contest will also send smaller gift cards to Victoria’s Secret to 10 runner-ups.
And if the promise of cosmetic Botox isn’t enough for you, Dr. Wigoda’s Beauty Contest will also feature the winner on its Beauty Blog.
