Former NBA player Marvin Webster was found dead in a bathtub at the Ambassador Hotel in Tulsa Monday.

Police said that foul play was not suspected, and that the death may have stemmed from coronary artery disease, complicated by hepatitis. Webster is believed to have died Saturday, but was only discovered Monday after staff became concerned as to his whereabouts; Webster was living in the hotel and was well known to staff.

Webster had a distinguished career in the NBA, helping lead the Seattle SuperSonics to the 1978 NBA finals, followed by a long stint at the New York Knicks, where he became known as the “human eraser” for his ability to block shots. After being sidelined for two seasons with hepatitis, Webster finished his career at the Milwaukee Bucks during the 1986-87 season. The 7’1? giant averaged 7.1 points and 7.0 rebounds in the NBA.
