Amid the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel, the US has been increasingly getting involved in the situation, despite Donald Trump’s allies being clearly divided over the decision.
While some of the higher authorities mentioned that America is not at war with Iran, the statement does not hold much value after Iran’s key nuclear sites were attacked by the US on Saturday.
It has now come to light that Iran had warned the U.S. President of sleeper cell attacks on America if they bombed Iran. As per an NBC News report, Trump received the message through an intermediary at the G7 summit in Canada last week. This might explain why the American President had left the summit a day early to provide his opinions on the next moves about the Iran-Israel conflict.
However, America attacked Iran on Saturday and the President posted on social media that any kind of retaliation by Iran on the US will “BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT.”
While the POTUS has been big with his threats, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mentioned on Sunday that “ongoing Iran conflict is causing a heightened threat environment in the United States.” The statement further mentioned that America might be facing a terrorist attack “if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland.”

As reported by daily Express U.S. “The department added that Iran could possibly launch cyberattacks on U.S. networks and target current and former U.S. government officials whom Tehran reportedly blames for the 2020 assassination of the top Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani.”
Vice President JD Vance has commented on this situation and mentioned that the Trump administration is monitoring any kind of possible homeland attack extremely carefully. It should be noted here that Vance had previously supported him regarding the President’s way of dealing with the whole Iran-Israel situation even when MAGA was split over this.

On the other hand, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian commented on America’s attack on their country and mentioned, “America must receive a response for their aggression.” He further added, “Our nation will not knee down in the face of bullying and oppression. It is natural that it will respond to the aggression proportionately. It was the US that attacked us.”
The Iranian President also said, “What would you do if you were us? Naturally, they must receive a response for their aggression.” As the situation keeps escalating, it now remains to be seen how the Trump administration deals with Iranian attacks if they happen and how that further affects the ongoing situation between Iran and Israel.
