The head of a Sri Lankan firm that produces Insect repellent has been threatened with jail time for breading mosquitoes on their premises.
A Sri Lankan court fined the superintendent of the company 1,500 rupees ($13) and imposed a suspended sentence of six months hard labor for failing to destroy mosquito breeding areas on company premises to stop the spread of dengue fever, according to Reuters .
In Sri Lanka, the Government has cracked down on Mosquito breading areas, and has decreed that land owners must destroy, or eradicate breeding colonies and breeding areas.
