President Donald Trump’s niece is publicly denouncing his Iran war as the civilian death toll climbs and U.S. casualties mount. Mary L. Trump says the conflict poses no real threat to Americans and will cost “untold lives and untold billions of dollars.”
The criticism came as Operation “Epic Fury,” the U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, moved through its third day.
Writing on her blog and reposting images circulating online, Mary L. Trump accused her uncle of launching a war without justification. “This war is going to cost untold lives and untold billions of dollars,” she wrote. “And it’s going to cost us something else as well: whatever is left of our reputation.”
Mary didn’t hold back as she continued, “Our allies are already suspicious of us.” She said that nations would no longer be able to trust or take the U.S. seriously again. Already, Trump feels disappointed in UK Prime Minister’s Keir Starmer for not reacting like he expected them to.
We are in a war of Donald’s choosing. Scores of Iranian children are dead; six American service members are dead. The depraved man responsible for those deaths went on a tangent about his gold curtains and his $400 million ballroom because those are his priorities.

According to the Irish Star, she also called the Middle East a “tinderbox.” Mary Trump pointing out that “there is also the distinct possibility that the situation will spiral completely out of control because the idiot who started it in the first place understands nothing of what is required to contain it.”
The strikes began Saturday. Iranian media reported that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family were killed. The Pentagon said all 11 Iranian warships were sunk and at least two warplanes destroyed. Iran’s Red Crescent reported 787 people killed.
The U.S. have suffered far less casualties.
Six American service members have already died. Three U.S. fighter jets were downed in Kuwait in what authorities described as friendly fire. But, luckily, the pilots ejected and survived. A U.S. surveillance drone was also destroyed.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on U.S.-allied Arab states. Airports were shut down and flights were diverted. As a result, oil and gas prices jumped worldwide.

Mary Trump also reposted a photograph showing rows of freshly dug graves in Minab, southern Iran. The picture showed where 165 primary school girls were buried after a strike hit their school. “I defy anybody to justify this,” she wrote.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, shared the same image, writing, “These graves are being dug for the more than 160 innocent girls who were killed in a primary school bombing by US-Israeli forces. Their bodies were dismembered. This is what Mr. Trump promised ‘rescue’ actually looks like.”
Bulldozers were used to dig the graves. The images spread quickly.
The White House has defended the operation. Spokesperson Anna Kelly said, “President Trump is absolutely right to highlight the grave concern posed by Iran, a country that chants ‘death to America,’ possessing intercontinental ballistic missiles.”
During a classified briefing, Pentagon officials pointed to Iran’s missile program and regional proxy networks. However, U.S. intelligence acknowledged “there was no indication that Iran was preparing to pre-emptively strike U.S. bases in the region.”
Mary Trump is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr., the president’s older brother. She frequently criticizes her uncle and his policies.
Her latest posts are blunt, personal, and public. And while she may have strong opinions about the war, it continues.
